I think it depends on whether your service provider has 3g network coverage or not and based on that you can receive the settings , if your service provider has the 3G spectrum authorization then check for the frequency of the 3G spectrum of your phone .
In philippines it is 2100MHz , so if your hone has 1800MHz you cannot access 3G.

I don’t mean help on the move, no I want to know what mobile to buy.
I want a camera on it at least 1.3 megapixels and video recording/playback features. That’s it.
It would be nice to have blue tooth and Mp3 player but I need the phone to be cheep, and I mean cheep as am saving at the moment so I’m looking at phones under £50.00 new or used.

If u want a phone at that rate and that too with 1.3 MP camera it is not possible….may be u can get some not so reputed brand..at that price u can get sony ericsson W200i which is a entry level walkman phone but it has VGA camera but MP3 player with micro SD slot which can be expanded to 2GB. If u could save some more money u could try for W800i. May be u can buy second hand phone..i advice u not to buy from a shop..if u want to buy a 2nd hand phone then buy it from someone u know or from someone who wants to sell the phone bcoz he/she dosen’t like the model,etc.
